PODPAST - Futures of Arts Education

“PODPAST - Futures of Arts Education” is a podcast discussing the presents, pasts, and futures of arts education, all within a creative future thinking format. Produced by School of Commons in the context of the FAST45 project (Futures Art School Trends 2045), the PODPAST endeavours to practice futures thinking, instead of only discussing it. This podcast series was designed to explore the historical, current, and emerging developments of arts education. 
 
Hosted from the speculative perspective of the year 2045, the PODPAST welcomes guests from different time zone spaces and futures realities, all of which have been developed using Live Action Role Play (LARP) for thinking and embodying the futures of Arts education during the Footnotes Summer School and Conference at the Zürich University of the Arts.  
 
PODPAST guests are joining from different higher arts education institutions both near and far including notable guests from arts education institutions and project partners, including University of the Arts Helsinki, LUCA School of Arts, Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, Estonian Academy of Arts, University of the Arts BerlinAEC - European Association of Conservatoires, CEFEDEM Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and ELIA, engage in insightful conversations on various themes, including lifelong learning, multispecies art, and climate futures, artistic freedom and more.  
 
Excited to listen? PODPAST – Futures of Arts Education will be released weekly, each Thursday from this Thursday October 26, 2023, to January 17, 2024.

About School of Commons: 
School of Commons (SoC) is a global community-learning space dedicated to the study and development of self-organized knowledge through commons-based methods and practices, located at the Zurich University of the Arts (but taking place mostly online).
